March Plan ₿ Academy Newsletter
Hello Plan ₿ Academy!
Welcome to our newsletter, where we keep you in the loop as we continue together learning about Bitcoin. This newsletter is designed especially for you, students. Each month, you’ll receive a clear snapshot of what we’ve been working on, to support you on your Bitcoin journey.
Let’s dive in!
📘 New Learning Content
Course Spotlight: Bitcoin's Pioneering Era (HIS203)

The intermediate course of Bitcoin's Pioneering Era by Ludovic Lars is now available in all languages! This one will take you back in time to the history of Bitcoin between 2011 and 2012. This era marked Bitcoin's first economic battles and successes. While you may have heard of this period through Silk Road and Mt. Gox, in this course we explore the full pioneering, community-based era that shaped Bitcoin into what it became nowadays. Join the challenge with the free 15 hours journey. Start it now!
Educator Content!

Plan ₿ Academy now offers a dedicated space for Bitcoin educators to share and access educational resources created by the community, for the community. We know educators put tremendous effort into creating presentations, flyers, and workshops, often recreating resources that already exist elsewhere. This section helps educators support each other and reduce duplicated work. Be stronger together.
Share materials in nine categories (Art, Booklet, Curriculum, Flyer, Game, Presentation, Sticker, Workshop, Other). Your work gains global visibility and you can track your impact through download statistics. Your work deserves more than staying in a folder. It deserves to orange-pill the world. Check it out!
Tutorial Highlight!
Once again, we've selected a few for you to explore something new:
Encourage Bitcoin Payments – Ready to accept Bitcoin? In this tutorial by Paolo, we explore how to attract Bitcoin spenders with smart incentives, offer perks instead of cutting prices, and make your BTC acceptance visible online and in-store. Turn "we accept Bitcoin" into real usage.
Debifi – Borrowing against BTC can help us avoid selling, but it comes with one big rule: managing your LTV. This Debifi guide walks through offers, multisig escrow, stablecoin payout, margin calls, and best practices to stay safe.
Dojo – Your wallet shouldn't leak your addresses to random servers. Dojo lets us self-host the backend for privacy-focused wallets, connected to our own Bitcoin node. No intermediaries, less metadata leakage, more sovereignty. Step-by-step tutorial by Loïc Morel.

⚡ Learning Tool of the Month: Bitchat

This month we highlight Bitchat, a decentralized peer-to-peer messaging app that operates over Bluetooth mesh networks. No internet required, no servers, no phone numbers.
Traditional messaging apps depend on centralized infrastructure that can be monitored, censored, or disabled. Bitchat creates ad-hoc networks using devices in physical proximity, providing censorship resistance, surveillance resistance, and infrastructure independence. With all the geopolitical troubles lately, it's been gaining popularity, surging download numbers in Uganda and Iran some weeks ago, and this week in Iraq.

💡 Is Bitcoin Truly Unique?

In his latest blog post, Damien Theillier tackles a heated debate: Is Bitcoin a tool of the libertarian far right or an instrument of liberation for the left?
His key argument: despite superficial quarrels, left and right share a common belief in the power of the state. Bitcoin's DNA, however, is not ideological but cryptographic, rooted in the Cypherpunk philosophy of privacy, self-ownership, and voluntary interactions. The real political divide is not between left and right, but between freedom and coercion.
